Know more about Soft Dinner Table napkins

The history of napkins takes us back to ancient times, particularly in Greece and Rome. Originally fashioned from luxurious cloth and linen, these napkins were reserved for the privileged. They were often adorned with intricate designs as symbols of one's status.

As history progressed into the Middle Ages, napkins found broader use, serving practical functions like hand drying and cleaning. The Renaissance ushered in the art of napkin folding, which soon spread across Europe and even reached the shores of America.

The 19th century brought about a significant transformation in the napkin industry, thanks to the invention of the printing press. This innovation enabled mass production, making napkins more accessible to a wider audience.

The 20th century saw the rise of disposable paper napkins, marking a shift away from cloth due to their convenience and hygiene. Later, in the 1980s, airlaid napkins emerged, offering an environmentally friendly option. Made from natural wood fibers compressed by air, they provided a bulky, softer, and more porous material, even when wet, while conserving energy compared to traditional paper napkins.
